Piano Practical Lessons (4 years old and above)

One-to-one Lessons

  • Both practical and theory components are covered in lessons.

  • Students may opt to have separate practical and theory lessons to progress faster. 

  • Aural skills and sight-reading are integral to musical development and are covered.

  • An emphasis on piano-playing techniques and fundamentals. 

  • Students are introduced to a wide range of repertoire including classical music, pop and jazz. 

  • Students are engaged in duet and ensemble-playing.

  • Lessons are made fun through games that aim to stimulate young minds

  • Students who wish to take examinations will be prepared for the ABRSM syllabus

Music Theory Lessons

 

  • Students will be prepared for the ABRSM Theory examinations

  • Lesson include listening examples and experiential learning

This Beginners Music Course is an exploration into the world of music learning, in preparation for formal piano lessons.

 

Sing, dance and have fun! 

 

At the end of the course, your child will be able to:

  • Recognize Musical Comparatives (Loud/ Soft, Fast/ Slow, and High/ Low pitch)

  • Explore body movement while listening to music from a variety of cultures and composers

  • Match Pitch

  • Feel the pulse of a song

  • Read notes

  • Play simple songs on the piano independently

Teaching Method

Chloe keeps her teaching fresh and relevant by keeping abreast with new teaching methods to suit different learners. Chloe will ensure that your child has a strong foundation for serious musical learning, while having fun at the same time. Her teaching pedagogy includes music notation and solfege singing with an emphasis on learning through fun engagements.
